Jeanette and Clifton made my stay at Afonso utterly delightful. The rooftop garden brought tranquility each morning. Fresh tea with a view of St Sebastian Church was a true pleasure. The entire guesthouse was spotless, and the strong WiFi helped manage travel plans effortlessly. The vibrant decor and cozy atmosphere added to the charm. Only wish the room had an electric kettle for tea. The bathroom's design could be better to prevent water pooling. Nevertheless, my time there felt like home. Can't wait to return!

The centrally located Afonso Guest House allowed me to fully immerse myself in the local culture, attending mass and enjoying delightful meals at a nearby family-run restaurant.
The power outage during the night resulted in a warm and uncomfortable room, as the fan stopped working.

rooftop garden, historical architecture, strong WiFi
The bathrooms could use a more functional design, as the Indian style shower makes a mess!!! a little more attention to room size would be appreciated. mine felt slightly cramped.

The stay was highlighted by the lovely rooftop garden, where mornings were spent enjoying fresh tea amidst vibrant greenery. While the cleanliness and ambiance were commendable, the mattress was rather firm, which affected comfort during the nights. a lack of luggage storage was a bit inconvenient. fresh home-made sweets greatly enhanced the dining experience, making breakfasts delightful here.

Our stay was delightful, especially enjoying morning tea in the lovely terrace garden surrounded by greenery and charming little cats. The rooftop area was perfect for soaking up the sun and unwinding after a day of exploring. The pillows could've been a tad fluffier, but overall, it was a fantastic experience—don't miss the breakfast pancakes! ☕

Cozy and charming stay!
We felt right at home with the warm vibes and lovely decor. The staff were always on point, making sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a highlight, especially the yummy fluffy pancakes! Only bummer was that the bathroom had a bit of a funky design. Still, the place is a real gem!
